If you’re reading this, then you made it to the end of the email I presume. Thanks for reading all the way! You’re awesome!
It’s been one of those things that’s been on the cards for a while: changing to a new email provider. The last one was awesome, but lately I found that I was getting a lot of spam subscribers and email address being registered by bots for some reason. It made the list appear like it was much bigger than it was.
That’s great if you’re just after numbers, but I’d rather have genuine people that find common ground in the stuff I find interesting.
That, and some of the limitations of the platform were beginning to show. Not that the new platform doesn’t have it’s own, but it does seem a LOT more interactive.
So what happened this week?
This past week has been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. I was *this* close to having sold my old apartment and started things on a new leaf til there was a snag (as there always is).
Sigh.
Hopefully that all gets sorted in the next few days.
I’m spending most of my free time just tidying the new place up and FINALLY the whole entrance and hallway is clear of all junk for the first time! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’m not the cleanest person, but too much mess actually makes me pretty miserable so I’m glad to be able to enter the apartment and enjoy.
We did do a podcast that I hoped to have out by now, but we just need to spruce it up and upload the video and it’ll be good to go. Pretty interesting guest that has had a wide range of jobs before striking out on his own…
Why is everything taking so long?
You might’ve noticed that newsletters/podcast/ creative stuff has been a bit haphazard lately. There’s a couple of reasons for that. Firstly, after last year, I realised I simply had too many deadlines for things so had to sort tasks by ACTUAL priority vs everything must happen all at once.
While I LOVE all things email/podcast/photography, these are secondary and they should come after, sleep/rest/self-care. So I have been sleeping earlier rather than stay up and write (ironic for right now, but hey).
Secondly, it’s the mess. Like I said above, I don’t function well after a certain level and I’ve been sitting in this level for WAY too long. I decided that it needed to be dealt with. Cleaning up also makes for the most boring updates ever!
Thirdly, I use this newsletter and blog to hold me accountable to doing the things I enjoy like all things creative. The previous 2 points kinda eat up all my time and hence I feel bad that I have nothing new to show!
Well, here’s one photo I did manage to take and edit in past week.
Hopefully, things will be back to normal in the next week or 2!
