As of yesterday, the major parts of the apartment renovations are finally complete! It’s taken a ridiculously long time but the panels for the integrated fridge and dishwasher are DONE! While there’ still little things to get done like the edges of the floor and paint touch ups, the whole apartment is now clear of all building materials and sawdust.
It feels like a much bigger achievement than it should! 😂
Now, there’s finally no excuse to start on the tidying efforts!
In other news, I have managed to have 2 “quiet” weeks in a row! Basically it means that I’ve had time in business hours that I haven’t had to physically be at work. This is part of the reason that the last few things could get done in the first place. It also made me realise that just a half day here and there can make the biggest difference to the simplest of things, be it scheduling a deliver or even getting a hair cut!
This coming week is a little bit busier. I don’t mind because it’s also the last week that I’ll be doing one of the surgical lists that I started when I finished my specialty training in anaesthesia. The operations are shifting from a Thursday afternoon fortnight to a whole day another day. At this stage, the replacement day hasn’t been found so I’m not sure I can actually do it. To date, that was the surgical list I’d done the longest and it continues the recent trend of nostalgia…
