This week was pretty heavy on the work front since I had to pay some favours back for people who had helped me while I was away overseas. It was also a week of helping some of the start-ups with small tasks. In short, it was exhausting, especially for an old man like me! 😂
It was also full of dinners and meals with friends we hadn’t seen in a while. First was pizza with the start-up gang, then dinner with friends we last saw the week before I went to Stanford and finally a dinner party hosted by a neighbour in their amazing building amenities.
It was such a great mix of people, some friends, some acquaintances and some totally new that it meant for effortless conversation. The food also was simply AMAZING. This felt more like a high end restaurant than dinner party at a friend’s house! One of the unexpected highlights was the seasoning on this prawn dish. This crispy cereal seasoning was so delicious on it’s own that I ended up having another small serve of rice simply to have more of the seasoning!
One thing I *didn’t* manage to do is any of the course work for the new course I started! That means this week, there will be a lot of extra computer time. Part of me is dreading it, but the other part is excited to do some programming again.
It’s been a bit of a strange thing realising just how much I enjoy coding… but more on that next week…
