This week has been a return to my regular work schedule. After having bits of time off here and there to take guests around, I’m slowly running out of favours to call in. They also will have left by the time the next newsletter is out so I was pretty keen to show them as much as possible til then.
This week also saw our return to the normal schedule of production for Instagram/emails/podcasts. I think I mentioned last week that the podcast had hit 1000 total listens across all the episodes!
We celebrated by finally setting up a proper randint.com email address! It’s not fully functional yet but will be in the next few days.
Also, we had our first guest that was a referral from a previous guest. In this case, Dr Charles Phyllis referred a friend who is the CEO of a biomedical start-up, OrthoDx. I’m not sure if we’re getting a bit more comfortable in our own skin or what, but this felt like an easier chat with someone we’ve never met before.
Which leads me to another point: I finally think that after 30 or so odd episodes, we’re getting the hang of all the things that make podcasting good. I know I say this every time, but we’d REALLY like some feedback if you think there’s something good or bad. In a way, I think we’re at a stage where we’re coming out of beta and ready to promote the podcast on a more serious level. We’ve found what we enjoy discussing, we’ve settled on a format and fixed most of our technical issues. If there’s things that need further tweaking, we can only really know from feedback…
Ok it’s getting late tonight, so I’ll sign off in a hurry as I’m meant to take guests to Sydney on Tuesday and I have yet to book my flights!!!
