It’s been a week of resetting for the new year. A little later than normal, but it seems apt given it’s also the medical new year, where the junior doctors all change over…
- Donations — for the supporters, firstly, thank you! And secondly, I’ve donated the last year’s earnings from the newsletter to 2 charities this year. I don’t think either need any introductions. If you have any suggestions for lesser-known charities, do let me know!
- Spent hours and hours in Excel looking through all the data and wearing my “Safety & Quality” hat at work. It’s tedious to look through tens of thousands of case data and see how we’re going but I weirdly enjoy parts of the analysis process — taking the raw numbers and making graphs and tables that tell something interesting.
- One of my resolutions this year is to run 1000km over the course of the year. I’m a little slow of the mark, having hit just over 40km in Jan instead of 80 as required, but I think I can get my daily runs up to 3km and eventually 5km/day over the next few months
- Was wiped out over the weekend and just… slept? Would wake up, do some little bit of housework and then have a nap. I think forcing back into a routine tired me out 😅(hence the late newsletter)
- Started a collab with a new brand – Oppo. I know, I have been a Samsung die hard for as long as I can remember and continue to be so. That said, their brief only requires me to take photos and NOT share/recommend the product. I’d feel a bit disingenuous to use one product and recommend another so I had to decline their original offer. Wonder if this will be the stepping stone to more of these collabs?
