Weekly Summary [15th Dec 2025]

It’s been a little while so a little bit to catch up on I suppose. On one hand it’s been heavy, on the other, a lot of long-standing Melbourne infrastructure projects are being completed around now. It’s almost like the city is suddenly changing before my eyes!

  • Firstly, I still can’t believe the Bondi incident happened – not what we expect in Australia. I hope you and your loved ones are safe!
  • Lots and lots of hospital visits and appointments to be able to support family. As one of the doctors in that side of the family, it’s been nice to have the time to attend so I can explain some of the more complicated things to the non-medical side of the family
  • I’ve dived a bit back into creative things. Even with time constraints, it seems to be the thing that keeps me sane. It feels odd sometimes — editing photos, writing reviews — while the world feels so heavy. But in a strange way, those creative moments have helped me stay grounded.
  • Exploring the new infrastructure – after years and years, Melbourne has new train stations and lines and they’re very “Melbourne”
  • New road tunnels too! This literally opened today!
  • Got to preview what the new hospital I’ll be working at is going to be like. It’s HUGE and looks so fancy!
  • Weirdly, have also been fortunate to be asked to participate in a few creative things that have come out of the blue
  • There’s lots of family coming in the next few weeks – lots of logistics to sort through.
  • The cats – though they’ve been naughty – have been very cuddly. It’s been very calming to have them just be near and purring
