It finally happened!
We moved the last thing from the old apartment to the new. It was a bit of a bittersweet moment since the other place has been home for nearly 7 years and after all that I might not be in it anymore. Already it feels foreign given the staging and the lack of my own stuff. Soon, it might not be mine at all…
At the same time, it’s been exhausting but satisfying to look through my possesions, some of which I haven’t laid eyes on in years! My old flight suit from retrieval medicine days, the backpack I bought for Antarctica, my old drones box etc are all filled with memories and it’s been quite a trip down memory lane…
It’s been a bit sad to think I probably will never really do a retrieval mission in the near future or visit Antarctica soon/ever, but the other part that I’m forced to remind myself of is that, it’s a new adventure now. I have my dream place with the views I’ve dreamt of and my wife and I have spent forever making it our own…
In other news, the reason this edition was delayed was that it was my birthday and there was just too many social events on this weekend to get this out on time. I did cut a delicious cake, but I’m not sure you’ll guess who got it for me…
Ready to guess? Go on…
It was…
my…
real-estate agent!
That’s right, my real estate agent! It was a delicious cake but receiving it was quite a surprise!
It’s bee na week of being taken out for meals or celebrating. IT’s nie in a way since Ramadan in only days away! This year, the days are longer and so it’ll be a bit a challenge to get into it. As always, I’ll use this time to vlog and try and raise money for the homeless around town.
In cat news, both cats have settled into a new routine. If you look at the pic below, Luna is back into her habit of stealing her brothers spot in various places including that chair which is Gary’s favourite 🤣
That’s all for this week! See you next time!
