From the diary

That slow creep of tiredness is already coming back. Probably means that I need more down time than anything else regularly in the schedule.
I have to say that one thing I didn’t expect was LIKING going back to work as much as I did.

It’s going to be a loooong day. Public in the morning, big private list in the arvo and then a 300km drive. It’s a close friend’s wedding so worth the effort!
Still doesn’t make it less exhausting a day…
Note: there was a lot of driving so didn’t really have the time to sit on the phone and laptop and type this week!
Summary
This week was one where time off was a minimum and work started on the normal cadence. In a way, the entire week I had been waiting for the weekend. Not to party per se, but rather to have everything ready for the big drive to Wollongong about 800km away for a friend’s wedding!
I was going to be finishing work late on Friday and with recent flight cancellations and times not working out, driving all the way surprisingly seemed the most sensible option!
Overall, it wasn’t too bad for such a long drive. It was literally the length of the whole trip I did to Canberra and beyond earlier in the year but done over 48 hrs instead of a week! 😅
We got a variety of weather on the trip from sunny blue skies in Albury to torrential rain near Kangaroo Valley and flood warnings on the way back. These 2 photos were just hours apart…
We made it to the wedding on time. That was the main thing. It was great to actually BE at a big event after all this time apart due to the pandemic. It was good to see people taking precautions here and there too.
And now, it’s time for sleep. I have a tutorial to do tomorrow morning and need to wake up a bit early to go through it and refine. Unfortunately, not sure how I’ll get to bed since a certain cat has settled on my lap as I write this…
