After the work week, I slept at 10pm Friday night and woke up at 10am the next day. I normally can’t sleep in during the day but realised that apart from the day in Torquay, it had been a constant barrage of long hours the last few weeks. Totally accidentally as well!
The last fortnight has been… interesting. On the one hand, someone close to the family (though not someone I know particularly well) has passed away and as I write this, I just came back from wishing a good friend a happy birthday. The contrast of wishing someone that while knowing someone else will never have another is a very odd feeling…
You almost can’t help but remember your own mortality in these circumstances. It made for an odd conversation for my friend’s birthday, but he knows all the parties involved so it made for quite a philosophical discussion.
On the cat front, Gary seems to have caught my odd mood. Both have this weird habit of lying on my gym gear. Luna is usually super into smelly gym clothes. This time, Gary just looks a bit sad, right?
Now, I generally LOVE gadgets (and getting packages, really!) so I’ve always wanted to make a mail time video! I decided not to open any of the packages for the last little while and unbox them all. Turns out, quite a few packages arrive…

Also, as I type this, Gary is sitting on my lap. This almost never happens so I had to take a photo. How cute is he?!
