My extended family departed back just this morning and with that ends a period of non-work joys. Literally I’m typing this while on a break as we encounter a rare condition that prolongs muscle relaxants in anaesthesia (see Creative Update on the condition).
The last few weeks have been about taking the extended family out and the next few will focus on repaying the favours at work that let me take that time off. Hopefully, it’s not too busy! I do have some trips etc planned coming up soon in order to rest and recharge from this period. In the mean time, it’s back to the old schedule of work, work, work!
One weird thing about having some extra half days and a day off here and there has been that I’ve not really felt like I’ve done actual work this past month at all! It has still been tiring with all the running around, but a different kind to normal. Not sure which I prefer to be honest!
On the cat front, they have both been pretty aggressive to each other. At least when there’s baskets or boxes involved, you can be sure one of the 2 will jump in (and the other will eventually attack or try to take it over).
