After the month plus of taking little bits of leave, this week felt like a return to the normal working, but with a vengeance! I began typing this email out in between cases from the on call on Sunday but we ended up finishing so late that I’m finishing this off on Monday instead! I was hoping to share some epic photos this week, but plans for that fell apart.
What was the plan?
Well, I had kept Saturday afternoon to take my first introductory flying lesson! Given Melbourne had such terrible weather for the last little while, I emailed the flight school to take a Trial Introductory Flight but was told to ring them closer to the day. I tried and tried on Friday to get through and even left a follow up email to organise something last minute but alas, the plan fell through! I’ll try again in the next spot of free time I have if the weather holds but I’m super excited to learn the new skill.
After the rain and wild winds the last few days the weekend saw the return of the cold and sunny Melbourne that I love. Unfortunately, I was working almost all of it so only could see it from the windows! Again, I wish I had some photos of the city from a plane!
In other news, the gift basket we received from my parents recently has a new resident. All of a sudden, Gary has taken quite a liking to sleeping in it. So far, Luna marked it out as her territory but something shifted in the last 24 hours and now it’s Gary’s! Gift Kitty cat, anyone?
