Weekly Summary (16th Oct 2022)

The week began after the long drive back from Shellharbour in the rain and more downpours later in the week in Melbourne that lead to the Maribyrnong river bursting it’s banks just a few days ago. That’s not too far from where I live, thankfully we were unaffected by any flooding. Hope where ever you’re reading this, that you’re safe and sound…

One thing I’ve noticed since the holiday a few weeks ago is that I’ve been much more calm, even when tired from long-ish days. That’s continued on to this week where normally, I’d be a bit cranky. That just wasn’t the case at all this week even as we had some complicated cases and late finishes at work. The difference has been nothing short of profound.

As a result, I’ve already locked in time for another round of 3 week holidays next year. Going forward, I think I’ll be doing these longer breaks rather than frequent short ones. That said, I do want to explore some islands of Australia in the next year or so with quick trips so stay tuned for that…

On the creative front, this has been the first time in ages we’ve managed to find time to record not only a podcast, but also an interview with a dear friend who also happens to be the CEO of a start-up. The first episode of the podcast after our break is out now and the interview episode will be out in the next week or so.

Now, before I go for this relatively uneventful week personally, here’s a quick edit of a photo I entered into a photo contest given all the rain Melbourne has been experiencing and a photo of my companion as I write this late at night…
