This is probably the first newsletter on a Sunday in a while! It’s been a very social weekend with a BBQ at my place yesterday. Most of the week not spent working was trying to figure out the guests/dietary requirements/logistics and shopping. Pre pandemic, I was managing to do 2-3 of these a year and using them as an event them as an event to catch up given how busy everyone is.
Over all, for a relative hermit couple, we had about 30 guests come between 1230 and 7pm last night. I would’ve spent the whole day today recharging if I didn’t have to go to work…
One of the guests who came was a recent podcast guest who is also a magician, which is why I was looking up where the phrace “Abra Cadabra” came from. Turns out it might’ve been what physicians back in the day inscribed on amulets to treat malaria?! Who knew?
On the calendar front, they should be done sometime early this week! Which means I’ll be mailing them out ASAP! Hopefully they reach everyone in time!
Ok, it’s going to be a busy next few days so I’ll be keeping this update brief. Just take a look at the company I get when doing this stuff though…
